Global Active Clay LLp

Activated Bleaching Earth

Activated Bleaching Earth, also known as ‘wash clay’ is a type of clay that helps to remove the colors from the edible and non-edible oils. Bentonite-the raw material of activated bleaching earth is mined in India, the rest of Asia, England and the United States among others.

This mineral-rich substance is used for its absorbing, bleaching and filtering properties. The activated bleaching earth is used for decolorizing and refining the oils, especially vegetable and other edible and non-edible oils.

We market under the brands Glosil Supreme and Glosil. We package activated bleaching earth in high tensile strength laminated HDPE bags. The normal bag size is 25 and 50 kgs but is also available in different sizes as per customer requirements.

Activated Bleaching Earth – Premium Industrial Grade Bleaching Earth Supplier

Global Active Clay LLP is a leading manufacturer and supplier of premium quality Activated Bleaching Earth, specially processed for superior oil purification, decolorization, adsorption, and filtration performance. Activated Bleaching Earth is widely used in edible oil refining and various industrial purification applications worldwide.

What is Activated Bleaching Earth?

Activated Bleaching Earth is a specially processed clay mineral produced by activating naturally occurring Bentonite Clay or Fuller’s Earth through controlled acid activation. This process significantly improves its adsorption capacity, making it highly effective in removing impurities, color pigments, gums, trace metals, and oxidation products.

It is widely recognized as one of the most effective industrial materials for purification and refining processes, especially in the edible oil and chemical industries.

Composition of Activated Bleaching Earth

Activated Bleaching Earth mainly contains naturally occurring minerals that enhance purification performance:

  • Montmorillonite Clay Minerals
  • Hydrous Aluminum Silicates
  • Silica Compounds
  • Calcium Bentonite Minerals
  • Magnesium Silicates
  • Natural Activated Clay Minerals

The acid activation process increases surface area and adsorption efficiency, making the product highly effective in industrial filtration.

Key Properties of Activated Bleaching Earth

Activated Bleaching Earth is widely preferred due to its outstanding purification and decolorization characteristics.

  • Excellent Decolorization Performance
  • High Adsorption Capacity
  • Superior Oil Purification Efficiency
  • Removes Impurities and Trace Metals
  • High Surface Area for Filtration
